 Late entries may be made on the day where classes are not full at £2.00 per extra per entry. Please add £1.50 per rider for first aid.

Entries close 26 July 2003 (entries postmarked after this date will be subject to the late entry fee) 

Dressage & Showing classes limited to the first 20 entries received. Show Jumping classes limited to the first 40 entries received. 

 

Prizes

Classes 1-5 Rosettes to 6th place, trophy to winner, prizes 1st to 4th

Classes 6-26 Rosettes to 6th place and trophy to the winner  

 

Rosette to the highest placed ARC member in each class. 

Competitors please note that if your class clashes, it is your responsibility to advise the appropriate ring steward of your whereabouts. 

RING 1 – SHOW JUMPING

Starts Promptly at 9.00 a.m.

 

CLASS 1 – Sports and Life Coaching NOVICE JUMPING - Approx. height of jumps 2’3”-2’6” (0.69-0.75m). Horse and rider combination not to have won more than £50 in any show jumping class 

Competitors in class 1 please note that declarations must be made by 9.30 a.m. (numbers on board) 

To follow: 

CLASS 2 – Sports and Life Coaching PAIRS JUMPING - Approx. height of jumps 2’3”-2’6” (0.69-0.75m). One round against the clock. Riders to start in designated box. First rider jumps round and on returning to the box the second rider starts. If either rider is eliminated they should return to the box and the other rider can then complete the round. 

To follow: 

CLASS 3 – Sports and Life Coaching INTERMEDIATE – Approx. height of jumps 2’9” (0.85m). Horse and rider combination not to have won more than £50 in any show jumping class. 

NOT BEFORE 2.00 PM

CLASS 4 – Teamhouse Consultants Ltd SPEED CLASS - Approx. height of jumps 2’9” (0.85m). One round against the clock. Fastest time wins.

CLASS 5 – Homefront Mortgage Services OPEN JUMPING – Approx. height of jumps 3’0” (0.95m)

 

RING 2

CLEAR ROUND & WORKING HUNTER

 

9.00-12.30    CLEAR ROUND JUMPING. Jumps will start at approx. 2’3-2’6” and will be raised gradually during the morning.

CLASS 6 – Steve Neighbour Equine Dentist SMALL NOVICE WORKING HUNTER Horses over 14.2hh not exceeding 15.2hh. Fences not to exceed 2’9” (0.85m). Horse and rider not to have won a prize of £25 or more in any Working Hunter class. Special rosette to the highest placed cob.

CLASS 7 – Sian Saddlery LARGE NOVICE WORKING HUNTER Horses over 15.2hh. Fences not to exceed 2’9” (0.85m). Horse and rider not to have won a prize of £25 or more in any Working Hunter class.

CLASS 8 – Jacques Plant Hire Ltd INTO TOUCH OPEN WORKING HUNTER – Horses over 14.2hh. Fences not to exceed 3’ (0.95m)

WORKING HUNTER CHAMPIONSHIP – Open to 1st and 2nd prize winners in classes 6-8

In-hand. 4 years old and under.

In-hand, Any age. Need not be registered. 

10:00         CLASS 11 – ARABS/PART BRED & ANGLOS

In-hand. Any age. 

To follow     CLASS 12 - VETERANS

In-hand. Horses and ponies 15 years and over 

11:00         CLASS 13 – COLOURED HORSE/PONY

In-hand. Need not be registered 

12:00         CLASS 14 – Burstow Park RIDDEN COB

                          Height 14.2-15.1hh To be ridden by judge 

14:00         CLASS 15 – Abbott & Co. RIDDEN COLOURED HORSE/PONY

              Need not be registered 

15:00         CLASS 16 - RIDDEN VETERANS

              Horses and ponies 15 years and over 

16:00         CLASS 17 – Burstow Park RIDDEN MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND

              Open to registered and unregistered ponies

 

1st and 2nd prize winners from classes 14-17 eligible for supreme ridden championship in ring 4 after class 24.

RIDDEN SHOWING CLASSES

 

9:00          CLASS 18 – Ascott Rugs SMALL RIDING CLUB HORSE

              Over 14.2hh but not exceeding 15.2hh. Will be required to jump. Horse suitable for all Riding Club activities. To be shown in snaffle bridle.  

To follow     CLASS 19 - Ascott Rugs LARGE RIDING CLUB HORSE

              Over 15.2hh. Will be required to jump. Horse suitable for all Riding Club activities. To be shown in a snaffle bridle.  

11:00         CLASS 20 - SMALL RIDDEN HUNTER

              Over 14.2hh but not exceeding 15.2hh. To be ridden by the judge.

To follow     CLASS 21 - LARGE RIDDEN HUNTER

              Exceeding 15.2hh. To be ridden by the judge.  

14:00         CLASS 22 – Burstow Park RIDING HORSE

              Horses to exceed 14.2hh, To be ridden by the judge.  

15:00         CLASS 23 – Burstow Park RIDDEN ARAB

              Open to Pure/Part-bred & Anglo-Arabs  

16:00         CLASS 24 – Copthorne Coachworks FAMILY HORSE OR PONY

              Suitable for any member of the family to ride

 

To follow     Penfolds SUPREME RIDDEN CHAMPIONSHIP

              Open to 1st & 2nd prize winners from classes 14-24  

 

              Prizes £30 Penfolds voucher for Champion

                     £20 Penfolds voucher for Reserve   

 

 

DRESSAGE ARENA

  HAVE A GO DRESSAGE

 

Open to riders and horses/ponies who have never won a dressage competition. Riders to present themselves at the arena when ready.
