 - Indoor Unaffiliated Show Jumping - Open to All

To start promptly at 9:00am. Anyone jumping before 9:30am will be given a £2.00 voucher. No entries will be taken for the first class after 9:30am

CLASS 1STARTER STAKES

Approx. height of jumps 65cm-70cm, Table A7 Combination must not have been placed first or second in any Show Jumping class. (Please note that this class has been introduced to encourage the novice rider and horse and combinations may not enter Class 3 or above)

Prizes: Rosettes to 6th place.

 

CLASS 2 NOVICE

Approx. height of jumps 70cm-75cm, Table A7 or two phase. Combination not to have won more than £25 in prize money. Prizes: Prizes to 4th place and Rosettes to 6th place.

 

CLASS 3 –  PAIRS RELAY

Approx height 75cm- 85cm. Open to any combinations. Fastest combination of two clear rounds wins. Prizes: Prizes to 4th place and Rosettes to 6th place.

 

CLASS 4 -  INTERMEDIATE

Approx. height of jumps 0.85m, Two-phase or A7. Open to all.  Prizes: Prizes to 4th place and Rosettes to 6th place.

 

CLASS 5 – SCURRY

Approx. height of jumps 0.95m, One round against the clock with a Joker fence. Prizes:  Prizes to 4th place and Rosettes to 6th place.

 

CLASS 6 –  OPEN

Approx. height of jumps 1.00m, Two-phase or A7. Prizes: Will be given to double clears only in line with the number of competitors.

 

Special Rosette to highest placed ARC member in each class. Want Medical in Attendance.

CLEAR ROUND JUMPING will take place at each show in the outdoor all weather arena next to the Abergavenny Building weather permitting. Jumps will start at approx. 2’0” and go up in height during the day. You do not have to enter any other class to take part. Rosette for clear round.

Entry Fees: Members £10.00, Non-members £12.00. Entries close 3 days before show. If accepted, late entries £1.00 per class extra. Please add £3.00 per rider for first aid. Entries taken on the day must be cash or cheque accompanied with a valid bankers card.

 

Show Jumping Rules. The number of entries in each class will be limited and competitors are advised to enter in advance to ensure a place. No entries will be accepted over the telephone or without appropriate fee and will not be refunded except under BSJA rule 79.4. All classes will be judged under BSJA rules. The decision of the judge(s) is final.  If the judges set a standard in a competition, competitors exceeding that standard will be asked to retire. The indoor warm-up area is restricted to the next ten competitors to go into the main arena as per the collecting ring board numbers. The practice fence must be jumped as flagged and any person disregarding this rule will be automatically eliminated from the competition. In the standing area no horse must be left unattended or tied up to the wall/railings.
