CLASS
1
– Oldencraig Equestrian
Supplies STARTER STAKES
(to start promptly at 9:00 a.m. Anyone jumping before 09:30 will be given a
£2 voucher. No entries will be taken after 09.30 a.m.). Declarations to
be made by 0930. Approx. height of
jumps 2’0”-2’3” (0.69m), no fillers, Table A7. Combination must not
have been placed first or second in any Show Jumping class. Rosettes
to 6th place and trophy to winner. (Please note that this class has been
introduced to encourage the novice rider and horse and combinations may not
enter Class 3 or above)
CLASS
2 - Oldencraig Equestrian Supplies NOVICE
- approx. height of jumps 2’3-2’6” (0.69-0.75m) with fillers, Table A7.
Rosettes to 6th place, trophy to winner and prizes in kind to 4th.
CLASS 2B - Oldencraig Equestrian Supplies Horse & Hound - approx. height of jumps 2’3-2’6” (0.69-0.75m) with fillers. Two rounds, first round to be ridden, next round to be by person on foot with a dog, over another course. Winner to be the pair with the fastest time. Rosettes to 6th place, trophy to the winner & prizes to 4th place.

3
– Oldencraig Equestrian
Supplies INTERMEDIATE
- approx. height of jumps 2’9” (0.85m), Two-phase. Open to all. Rosettes to
6th place, trophy to the winner and prizes to 4th place.
CLASS
4 - Rainbow Catering SMALL OPEN - approx. height of jumps
3’0 (0.95m), Two-phase. Rosettes to 6th place, trophy to winner and prizes to
4th.
CLASS
5 – Cosyhome Windows and Conservatories OPEN
- Approx. height of jumps 3’3-3’6” (1.00m), Two phase. Rosettes to 6th
place, trophy to the winner. 1st prize £10.00, 2nd £9.00, 3rd & 4th
£8.00.
CLEAR
ROUND JUMPING will take place at each show in the outdoor all
weather arena, next to the Abergavenny Building, weather permitting. Jumps will
start at approx. 2’0” and go up in height during the day. You do not have to
enter any other class to take part. Entry fee £2.50 per round on the day -
Rosette for clear round.
Rules
1.
The number of entries in each class will be limited and competitors are
advised to enter in advance to ensure a place. No entries will be accepted over
the telephone or without appropriate fee and will not be refunded except under
BSJA rule 79.4.
2.
All classes will be judged under BSJA rules.
3.
The decision of the judge(s) is final.
If the judges set a standard in a competition, competitors exceeding that
standard will be asked to retire.
4.
The indoor warm-up area is restricted to the next ten competitors to go
into the main arena as per the collecting ring board numbers. The practice fence
must be jumped as flagged and any person disregarding this rule will be
automatically eliminated from the competition. In the standing area no horse
must be left unattended or tied up to the wall/railings.
