Classes 1-3 Trophy to winner, rosettes to 6th place, Prizes in kind 1st – 4th

HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY

 

 

.    The organisers of these events have taken reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards. It is a condition of entry that riders and their horses only exercise where permitted on the showground.

2.     Emergency services must have access to all parts of the event at all times and members of the public must not park vehicles so as to obstruct access.

3.     In the case of emergency, members of the public should contact the nearest official or dial 999 on the nearest telephone.

4.     Horses can be easily frightened and can be dangerous. Members of the public are requested to keep clear from horse areas/lanes and to avoid behaviour that might alarm horses. Dogs must be kept under control and on leads at all times.

5.    By entering this competition it is deemed that riders are fit to compete and that they consent to any treatment that may be given advised or offered by the officiating First Aid Team. 

 

GENERAL RULES & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1.    This competition will be run under BSJA or similar rules as appropriate

2     The organisers reserve the right to alter any part of the schedule at any time or to refuse any entry without giving a reason.

3.    The decision of the judges is final. Any objection must be made in writing to the Secretary within 15 minutes of the class having been judged together with a deposit of £10 returnable if the objection is sustained.

4.    Correct dress must be worn in all classes. British standard hard hats EN1384, PAS015 or prefixed with ASTM or SE1 are the minimum standard allowed and must be worn at all times when mounted with the harness properly adjusted and fastened..

5.  In case of  cancellation entry fees will be refunded less £2 per class for administration on receipt of an SAE by the secretary within 3 weeks of the show date.

 

 

 

 

 Ring 1 – Show Jumping – Start 0900 Sharp!

 

Class 1 – Beginners Jumping Riders 10 Years & Under

Height 30cm/1’ – X Poles. Both sections to run concurrently

Section A: Lead Rein Section B: Off the lead (note section on entry form)

Combination not to have been placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any Show Jumping Competition. Competitors in this class may not enter class 4 or above

 

Class 2 – Starter Stakes Riders 12 Years & Under

Height 50cm.1’8 . Both sections to run concurrently

Section A: Lead Rein  Section B: Off the lead (note section on entry form)

Combination not to have won any jumping class at this height or below.Competitors in this class may not enter class 4 or above

 

Class 3 – Bentons Novice Jumping

Height max 65cm/2’1

Combination not to have won at 2’6 or above. Competitors in this class may not enter class 6

 

C                  Class 4 – MK Installations Intermediate Jumping – Not before 1.30pm

Height max 70cm/2’4

 

Class 5 – MK Installations Small Open

Height max 75cm/2’6

 

Class 6 – MK Installations Open Jumping

Height max 85cm/2’9 

 

Ring 2 Working Hunter & Clear Round Ring

0900 – 1130: Clear Round Jumping over Working Hunter course

Starting at 30cm & will be increased depending on demand.£4 per round. Rosette to all clear rounds.

 

Class 7– 1145: Chris Down Photography  Novice Working Hunters

Height max 75cm/2’6. Horses 14.2hh & over. Will be ridden by judge.Combinations not to have been placed 1st or 2nd in any Working Hunter Class

 

Class 8 – Dawson Hart Open Working Hunter

Height max 85cm/2’9. Horses 14.2hh & over. Will be ridden by judge.

 

To follow: Dawson Hart Working Hunter Championship

Open to 1st & 2nd placed combinations in classes 7 & 8

 

Class 9 – Dawson Hart  Nursery Stakes – Not before 2pm

Height max 60cm/2’. Riders 12 & Under.  Ponies 13hh & under

 

Class 10 – Dawson Hart  Novice Working Hunter Pony

Height max 65cm/2’3. Ponies 15hh & under. Combinations not to have been placed 1st  or 2nd in any Working Hunter Pony Class

 

Class 11 – Dawson Hart  Open Working Hunter Pony

Height max 75cm/2’6

Ring 3 – Showing – Start 0900 Sharp!

 

Class 12 – AFM Best Condition & Turn Out

Competitors to be judged together in ring

 

Class 13 – Martinez Hair Salon Pony/Riding Club Pony

Riders 16 & under, ponies 14.2hh & under. To be ridden in a snaffle bridle. Will be required to do a short show & jump a small fence.

 

Class 14 – A. P. and C. Hartfield Best Rider 16 years & under

Special rosette to best lead rein rider

 

Class 15 – Cliffe Veterinary Lead Rein Pony

Riders 10 & under. Ponies 12.2hh & under. To be shown in a snaffle bridle. Rosettes to all competitors

 

Class 16 – Kevin March Painter and Decorator Riding Club Horse

Horses 14.2hh & over. To be ridden in a snaffle bridle. Will be required to do a short show & jump a fence.

 

Class 17 – Sian Saddlery Ridden Hunter – Not before 1.30pm

Horses over 14.2hh. Will be ridden by judge. If entries suffice will be split into 14.2hh – 15.2hh & over 15.2hh. Please note height on entry form.

 

Class 18 –  Cliffe Veterinary Riding Horse

Horses over 14.2hh. Will be ridden by judge. If entries suffice will be split into 14.2-15.2hh & over 15.2hh. Please note height on entry form

 

Class 19 – Roebuck Inn Ridden Cob

Horses 15.1hh & under. Will be ridden by the judge

 

Class 20 – AFM Veterans

Horses & Ponies over 15 years old. Please note age of horse on entry form.

 FUN DOG SHOW

 

Entries from one hour before the show starts

Judging commences promptly at 2.00 p.m.

Entry fees: £1.00 per dog per class.

 

Dogs need not be registered at the kennel club. Open to all dogs- pedigree, pets and pampered pooches.

Puppies under 4 months are not eligible for any of the classes in this show.

Rosettes 1st to 6th places in all classes.

 

First prize for classes 1 to 11:  7.5kg bag of dog food
