Sian Saddlery Hunter Trials

 

BHS 2009 Cross Country Championships Qualifier (see rules & eligibility at bottom of page)

 

 Sunday, 12th October 2008

To be run under British Riding Club Rules

 

Paper numbers given. Bring own number bibs or £10 deposit.

Prizes: Class 1 & 2 Prizes to 4th place. Rosettes to10th place.

Class 3 & 4. 1st £20.00, 2nd £17.00, 3rd £15.00, 4th £10. Rosettes to 10th place.

Class 5 1st £60.00, 2nd £40.00, 3rd £20.00,  Rosettes to 10th place.

Special Rosette to the highest placed ARC member in each class

Entry Fees:  Class 1 PAIRS ONLY Members £19.00, Non-members £21.00 (1M & 1N-M £20.00) Classes 2, 3 & 4 Members £16.00   Non-members £18.00. Class 5 £45 per team.  Please add £3.00 per rider for first aid.

Late entries will be taken if spaces are available, at an extra cost of £2.00 per competitor.

If entries are taken on the day they must be cash or cheque accompanied with a valid bankers card.

 

Walking the Course: After 2.00 p.m. Saturday, 11th October

TO START PROMPTLY AT 9:00am – Approximate times for the start of each class will be displayed on the Secretary’s Office on Saturday 11th October

 

 

CLASS 1 – PAIRS

Approximate height of fences 0.80m. At least one of the pair not to have been placed 1st in any Hunter or Horse Trial.

 

CLASS 2 – NOVICE

Approximate height of fences 0.80m. Combination not to have been placed 1st  in any Hunter or Horse Trials.

 

CLASS 3 –  INTERMEDIATE

Approximate height of jumps 0.95m. Combination not to have been placed higher than BE pre-novice.

 

CLASS 4 OPEN

Approximate height of jumps 1m. Open to any horse.

 

CLASS 5 – TEAMS OF THREE

Approximate height of fences 1m. All three to finish. Open to any horses

BHS 2008 CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP RULES & ELIGIBILITY

This event is a qualifier for the finals of the South Esses Insurance Brokers BHS Cross Country Championships 2009. In the nominated class, the TWO highest placed riders (or pairs) who are BHS Gold Members ON THE DAY OF THE QUALIFER will qualify for the finals. In the event of a combination of horse/pony and rider having already qualified, the qualification will pass down to the next eligible competitor. You must provide the entries secretary with your BHS membership number when you enter the qualifer but we recommend you also carry your membership card on the day. Non members may enter qualifying classes but will not be eligible to qualify. Horses registered for BE Horse Trials in 2008/9 are NOT eligible to qualify for the finals (day tickets are acceptable). Rules at qualifiers may vary from the finals. Classes at the finals will be Novice & Pairs (max 2'9), and Open (max 3'3).
