Area 10 Dressage Qualifier - Hickstead 09 June

The Area 10 Dressage Qualifier was a huge success for Ardingly with 2 teams and 1 individual qualifying for the Riding Club Championships at Lincoln in September. Unfortunately the weather deteriorated in the afternoon, but we were very grateful to Dane Rawlins and his team at 'Dressage at Hickstead' for allowing it to go ahead. There were 28 Senior Teams plus 5 Junior Teams and numerous individuals, the whole day ran from 0900 - 1830 a very long day for those involved and to whom we owe a big thank you to:-

• Jane Kendall for her tireless efforts in organising the day and her non stop work on the day

• Sue Ewins who checked a huge amount of flu certificates and spent an hour on the gate in the pouring rain

• Jacqueline Delaney & Chris Scott for stewarding the International Arena all day

• Jenny Driver & Jacqui Peterson for writing for judges during the huge classes

• Also to Deirdre Robinson who had a 'blow out' on the way there but still managed to arrive to ride her team test which was crucial to the Red team qualifying.
